Crown Chakra: Your Shift from the Physical To The Spiritual
Your crown chakra is the seventh chakra and is considered the “Heaven’s Gate.” It is essentially the place where you return to the “heaven’s energy,” or can connect to the Universe’s energy. You do not have to believe in a higher power or being to connect to this energy. Universal, divine, or Source energy is the energy of everything around us, including ourselves. It is eternal energy that is expansive, loving, and complete. Your crown chakra is essentially the connection to oneness between your mind, body, and spirit and the connection and co-existence with Nature.
According to the book, Healing Chakras: Awaken Your Body’s Energy System for Complete Health, Happiness, and Peace, written by our founder Ilchi Lee, the seventh chakra represents your highest state of consciousness and enlightenment. It is the facilitator of your spiritual development and can connect you to your inner peace, abundance, and connectedness.
Characteristics of the crown chakra
The crown chakra is associated with a violet color and is at the very top of your head. It is also connected to your pineal gland, brain, cranium, skin, and muscular system.
An open crown chakra means that you are fully connected with all that is in our Universe and you will be confident in co-creating with Nature. You will be altruistic, humanistic, and devoted to your spiritual practice. Essentially, you will be able to love yourself, humanity, and the Earth completely.
Healing the crown chakra
If your crown chakra is blocked you will feel a disconnect between yourself and the Universe. You will likely be very individualistic, thinking that there is even a disconnect or separation between others and Nature. You will likely feel disconnected from your spiritual practice or will not be interested in pursuing one entirely. You also may feel different or separated by and from the people around you. You could also be prone to connecting to false prophets instead of trusting your own divine Nature. You will not be able to live in alignment with your True Self and you may also feel disconnected from your soul. You may make decisions that are not for your highest and greatest good and likely feed into your egoistic desires that may cause harm to others besides yourself.
Practices:
Your crown chakra is connected to all three of your bodies: spiritual, energetic, and physical. If these parts of yourself are disconnected, you will not be able to listen and feel comfortable with your own divine consciousness and you could be doing things out of alignment with your own mind, body, and spirit.
This means that it is important to work with all the chakras to cleanse and clear them so that they are working in harmony with each other to reach optimal healthiness between all three of our bodies. You can go back and review our previous blogs in this series to support you to heal the root, sacral, solar plexus, heart, throat, and third eye; all chakras connected to the health of all three of your bodies.
Once you have worked on opening those energy centers, you can then attempt to bring more balance and harmony to your crown chakra.
Close your eyes or soften your gaze. Bring your hands facing your seventh chakra. Bring your hands closer and further away from this energy center. You can also stimulate this area by tapping and focusing on it and bowing with sincerity, honoring this chakra. Envision a violet stream of light entering your crown, integrating through your mind, body, and spirit.
Per Ilchi Lee’s Healing Chakras book, visualize that your soul is free from ego and free to connect with all parts of yourself. Feel perfect and complete, embracing this violet light that is now flowing through all parts of you.
While you are doing the exercise to heal your seventh chakra, affirm the following:
“I am one with the Universe.
I am whole and complete.
I am the light that embraces all.
My life is eternal.
I return home to Source.
I return home to my original oneness.
I am a spiritual being, and I am on my spiritual journey.
I am becoming one with everything that’s inside of me.
Conclusion
Once you have said those mantras, see how you feel after. Notice or journal what may be coming up for you and continue to repeat the exercises and mantras so that your crown chakra remains fully awakened and activated.
When you open your crown chakra, you start to trust your initiation and inner wisdom more. You will live a life of clarity with more awareness. You will also feel confident in your spiritual path and be committed to your spiritual practice with more depth and direction.
