The Sedona Mago Center for Well-being & Retreat Privacy Policy manages your use of the sedonamagoretreat.org website (the “Site”), which is owned by Sedona Mago Center for Well-being & Retreat (“Sedona Mago”). We know that visitors like you value privacy, so we have generated this Privacy Policy to ensure you understand our policies and procedures, what personal information you provide if you were to use certain portions of our Site, and ultimately, how we use such data. The purpose of this notice is to be transparent with you about how we collect and use your information. By using our Platform, you consent to this Privacy Policy.

  1. Information We Collect by Our Site

When you register, donate, plan a retreat, or fill out an online form on the Platform, we request the information to complete your order or request and improve your online experience. This data may include your full name, home address, shipping address, contact number, email address, gender, and credit card number, if applicable. 

Once you have placed your order or donation with us, we will then verify with your credit card company whether your card is valid and send you an email that confirms your order or donation was successfully received. We will also send you a notification once your registration, donation, or other requests have been finalized.

  1. How We Use Your Personal Information 

We use the information collected on our Site for a variety of purposes, including, but not limited to the following: 

  • To personalize your experience
  • To improve our Platform
  • To improve customer service
  • To troubleshoot problems
  • To send periodic emails
  • To process your registration, request, donation, or application
  • For business analysis

We may use your personal data to communicate back to you, to update you on products and services, to personalize our Site for you, to contact you for market research, or to provide you with marketing information, newsletters, or other information we think would be of particular interest. In addition, if you make a purchase on our Site, we may send you order and shipping confirmation emails. We will always give you the opportunity to opt-out of receiving such materials. You can remove your e-mail address from our e-mail list at any time by clicking on the “unsubscribe” link in every Sedona Mago e-mail.

In some cases, we may collect your non-personal information. This includes the Internet browser you are using, the type of computer and operating system, application software, peripherals you are using, and the domain name of the website from which you linked to our Site. We use these pieces of information to operate and enhance our Site.

After you have attended a retreat, lecture, workshop, seminar, and other similar online or in-person activities, we email a survey to gather information about your stay and experience at Sedona Mago. Periodically, we may use surveys, questionnaires, or evaluations to gather the information that we can use to improve our services. Participation in surveys is entirely voluntary.

  1. Cookies 

Certain features on our Site utilize cookie technology. A cookie is a small data file that certain websites write to your hard drive when you visit them. This file may contain various types of information, such as a user ID that the site uses to track the web pages you have visited. We use cookies to enhance your experience on our Site and to determine traffic patterns, among other purposes. 

Most Internet browsers are initially set up to accept cookies, however, you can reset your settings to refuse all cookies or indicate when a cookie is being sent or your can flush your browser history of cookies from time to time. If you choose to disable your cookies settings, you might not be able to access all pages of the Sedona Mago Site.

You may opt-out of receiving information from Sedona Mago and our Site at any time. An opt-out message will appear at the bottom of every email that is sent out. If you no longer wish to take advantage of our Site or receive any form of direct contact from us and our Site, whether email, discounts, special promos, newsletters, or other promotional offers or materials, you may always contact us.

Sedona Mago may share your personal information: (1) with third parties who are under obligations of confidentiality with Sedona Mago or with Sedona Mago’s affiliates or subsidiaries, (ii) if Sedona Mago is required by law to do so, (iii) in the event of a transfer of ownership of Sedona Mago merger or other similar transaction, or (iv) as otherwise set forth in this Privacy Policy. The following describes some of the ways that your personal information may be disclosed to third parties:

We may employ other third parties to perform services or functions on our behalf in order to improve our Site, merchandising, marketing and promotional efforts, communications, or other services. Those third parties may include authorized contractors, consultants, and other companies working with us (collectively, “agents”). They only have access to personal information needed to perform their functions, and they may not share any personal information with others or use it for any other purpose than providing or improving Sedona Mago’s services and offerings.

We may share certain non-personal information with third parties for advertising, promotional and other purposes. For example, we may work with third-party advertising companies, to serve and track our ads. These third parties may serve other cookies. Our advertising partners may use the non-personal information they collect from our Site, in the aggregate, to help us better market and serve our customers.

This Privacy Policy applies only to Sedona Mago’s Site and does not address the practices of third parties who may collect your personal information. You may visit other websites, through links on our Site, which may collect, use and share your personal information in accordance with their own privacy policies. The information practices of those linked websites are not covered by this Privacy Policy, and we encourage you to be very cautious before you disclose your personal information to others.

In order to provide you with the information, products, or services which you have requested, we may share or transfer your personal information with our affiliates or subsidiaries, or third-party agents acting on their behalf.

Sedona Mago may be obligated to cooperate with various law enforcement inquiries. We reserve the right to disclose or transfer personal information and non-personal information about you and your activities on our Site in order to comply with a legal requirement or request from law enforcement or other government officials, administrative agencies, or third parties as we, in our sole discretion, determine necessary or appropriate for the administration of justice, or in connection with an investigation of fraud, intellectual property infringement or violations of any other law, rule or regulation, our SedonaMagoRetreat.org Terms of Use or other rules or policies of our Site, the rights of third parties, or an investigation of any other activity that may expose us or you to legal liability, or to investigate any suspected conduct, which Sedona Mago in its sole discretion deems improper.

  1. Social Media Plugins 

On some pages of our Site, we implemented social media plugins, which are buttons connecting to social media sites Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Tripadvisor, and other social media sites. When you visit a page that displays one or more of such buttons, your browser will establish a direct connection to the respective servers of said social media sites, and load data via the button. 

If you do not click on the respective buttons, no personal data will be collected and stored unless you have logged onto your account on the respective social media sites. In that case, certain user data (including your IP address at the time) may be collected and linked to the account information already present at the respective social media sites. If you wish to prevent this, please log out of your social media accounts before visiting our Site.

In addition, clicking a button may also lead to a collection of certain data, such as the user’s IP address. The Social Media Sites may set cookies as well unless you have disabled the acceptance and storage of cookies in your browser settings (see the “Cookies” section above). We receive no information from the Social Media Sites about which social media buttons you may have clicked or seen on our website, but, if at all, we may receive a summarized statistical report of non-personal data relating to the use of the buttons.

We want to thank you for sharing your experiences with Sedona Mago. Please let other visitors know how Sedona Mago practices have helped you. Please share something about your background, including your condition prior to attending one of our classes or retreats. If possible, please also send a photo of yourself or allow us to use an image of you that we may have on file.

Sedona Mago prioritizes a secure site for your peace of mind. We have encryption software to safeguard all of the information you provide to use. All data is stored on our serves in a secure location.

Please note that no transmission over the Internet is completely secure. As a result, we cannot guarantee the security of the information that you transmit via our online services.

You may have certain rights under different states and federal statutes that apply to the personal and non-personal information collected by Sedona Mago online. By accepting the terms of this Privacy Policy using our Site, you are waiving all of such rights as to the collection, use, and storage of your personally identifiable and non-personal data as described herein. You acknowledge that we are able to offer our Site and services to you at our rates based upon these terms, which are an integral part of our contract for the provision of services

By using our Site and providing your personal information to us, you also authorize the export of your personal information to the USA, as well as its storage and use as specified herein. This Privacy Policy and our legal obligations are subject to the laws of Arizona and the USA, regardless of the location of any user.
