COVID-19 Guidelines for Your Stay
Sedona Mago Center for Well Being and Retreat is committed to the health of our guests and staff. To our great delight, we have found that attendees to programs in 2020, have been able to have transformative experiences while following all Arizona public health protocols. As we look to provide optimum experiences for all guests while attending to the lessons our operations staff has learned this past year, management has decided to make changes to our arrival policy in 2021.
For our guests to have the best spiritual experience, we are updating our policies. These policies are designed to not only comply with federal, state, and local regulations but to most importantly allay any fears that attendees might have regarding other guests during their instruction. It is our desire to keep Sedona Mago Retreat a “fear-free zone” by following these guidelines.
Starting January 4, 2021, we have adjusted our arrival policy.
- Provide negative COVID test results, tests should be conducted no earlier than five (5) days prior to arrival. All versions of negative test results are accepted. If you wish, electronic versions of the test can be emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org. See additional notes about testing sites and testing is not optional see notes below.
- Pass Pre-arrival screening questionnaire
- Pass daily temperature check less than 100 F
- Medical grade masks are mandatory and there will not be any exceptions allowed including medical conditions. Masks will be required at all times in meeting spaces, welcome center, and dining when not eating and as requested by Mago signage and staff. Masks are available at the retreat center.
Negative COVID test requirement
All guests are required to provide negative COVID-19 test results whether paper or electronic upon arrival at the retreat center. For more information about COVID-19 testing in the state: https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/testing/diagnostic-testing.html

Testing is not optional, it is required!
Sedona Mago does not provide COVID 19 tests and they are not available on property. Please get tested before arriving at the retreat center. We will not be able to welcome you nor will your reservation be honored and you will be asked to leave immediately.
Positive COVID test results or Previously tested positive or COVID like symptoms:
All guests who tested positive for COVID and have a current infection will not be welcomed and will need to reschedule their program and should contact the welcome center via email or phone.
If you tested positive for COVID in the past, or had COVID like symptoms in the past, we still require a COVID viral test. Please check with the test site and ask them to do a viral test to check for a current infection or provide a Doctor’s or Physician’s note clearing you of being contagious and infectious.
Please make sure you are not experiencing any COVID symptoms like fever or chills, cough, shortness of breath, fatigue, muscle or body aches, headaches, new loss of taste or smell, sore throat, congestion or runny nose, nausea or vomiting, or diarrhea. There is a questionnaire to fill out at check-in and all guests with COVID-like symptoms will not be asked to leave.
You will be asked to verify you are not under any self-quarantine order, you have completed the 14-day quarantine, and at least 24 hours have passed since your last fever without the use of medicine.
If you fall under this category, please contact the welcome center at email@example.com and provide your name, phone number, and any relevant information in regards to your case. We will respond to you on a case-to-case basis.
Management is closely watching the situation and staying abreast. CDC and experts are still learning more about COVID and information about the spreading of COVID is still being researched. According to experts, while the vaccine may prevent you from getting sick, it is unknown at this time if you can still carry and transmit the virus to others. That is why, until more is understood about how well the vaccine works, continuing with precautions such as mask-wearing and physical distancing is still required. At this
time based on this information management will continue to require a negative COVID-19 test until further notice. It is our intention as the situation changes to update our policies as needed.
This policy is effective immediately and shall remain in effect until April 30, 2021. Sedona Mago reserves the right to adjust and change our policies as needed. We appreciate your understanding and look forward to serving you.
Should you have any questions or concerns please contact the welcome center and we will be there to help and assist you. Have a wonderful 2021.
